FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is a Split Post?

A short video made to look like a real social post: two images stacked around a post strip with likes, comments and a caption. Then something crosses from one image into the other, passing right in front of the post.

Does the caption get warped?

Not unless you ask it to. The post strip stays pixel-clean in every frame, and only the action moves. If your ending says to smash, crack or squeeze the middle area, it will. See those examples.

Which platforms does it suit?

Any feed that plays video. Pick an Instagram-style, Facebook-style or LinkedIn-style post so it looks at home wherever you share it.

Can I use my own images?

Yes. Upload it, then tag it, like @img1, in the prompt box for the top or bottom image. Type "use @img1 as is" to keep it unchanged. Watch how in the walkthrough

Can I choose what happens?

Yes. Write the ending in one sentence, like "the superhero in the top area reaches over the middle area, picking up the latte in the bottom area and extending it forward to the viewer", and the video follows it. Rather not? Leave it blank and we'll handle the ending. See how to write an ending in the Guide

How do I write prompts that work?
The “Explain how the top & bottom scenes interact” box, with an example sentence typed in.
The tips below are for this prompt box, found at the “Animate” step.
  • Don't write negatives. Like all AI video models, ours can read negatives literally. Write no icons and the model picks up icons and adds them.
  • More than one subject? Use positions. The man leaves the model guessing which one. Write the man on the left.
  • Be realistic. Keep the crossover believable and achievable with your two images.
  • Use the area names. Don't write over the post or over the caption. Write top area, middle area and bottom area.
  • Voice-overs: describe the voice. Not: The zombie says “Happy Halloween”. Instead: The zombie says in a deep, groaning zombie voice, “Happy Halloween”. Without a description, you may get a generic voice that doesn't match your character.
  • Keep it to one or two sentences.
  • Don't change the scene in “Explain how the top & bottom scenes interact”. Don't write put my logo on the t‑shirt in it. Scene changes belong in the top and bottom image prompt boxes in the previous “Layout” step. Scene vs. ending prompts
  • If it's not in your scene preview, it won't be in your video. The AI animates the scene preview you see before you hit Animate. It doesn't see your uploaded images. Anything you want in the final video, like your logo, product or text, should already be visible in the scene preview. Asking “Explain how the top & bottom scenes interact” to add or swap something makes the AI invent it from scratch, and it may not look how you want. Check your scene preview before you spend any credits. Watch how to add an image to your scene

How long does it take?

60 to 90 seconds, then it's ready to download. No editing skills needed.

What does it cost?

View our pricing here.

How many credits does a video use?

It depends on your video settings, like resolution and duration. On every plan, including the free plan, you can adjust them and see the exact credit cost update right above the Animate button before you spend anything. Generating your scene previews doesn't use credits.
